Both say 200°C. Why can't you swap them?
Watch where green polyester and amber polyimide tape actually work before choosing by colour or temperature alone.
Green vs Amber High-Temperature Tape: Same Heat, Different Jobs
Both tapes may mention 200°C, but that does not make them interchangeable. Green polyester tape is shown masking metal during coating; amber polyimide tape is shown protecting PCB contacts during soldering.
Green polyester
Published condition: 200°C for 30 minutes. Shown masking metal during coating.
Amber polyimide

Choose by the process
Tell us the process, highest temperature, dwell time, surface and the area that must stay protected.
Validate on your part
The published condition narrows the choice. Confirm clean removal on your own part and actual production cycle before volume use.
What must stay protected in your process?
Send the part, process temperature, dwell time and required width. The sample is free; the buyer covers freight.
