A peel value without test conditions is not a number you can compare
Two suppliers can quote the same peel value and mean completely different things. The figure only becomes comparable once you know the five conditions it was measured under.

- Substrate
- SUS304
- Peel angle
- 180°
- Peel speed, mm/min
- 300
- Standard
- GB/T 2792
The five conditions that change the answer
Peel adhesion is not a property of the adhesive alone. It is the result of a specific test on a specific surface at a specific rate. Change any one of these and the number moves.
That is why a bare figure such as "5 g/25mm" tells you almost nothing on its own. It is a measurement, not a constant.
- Substrate — steel, glass, PC, ABS and PE all give different values
- Peel angle — 180° and 90° are not interchangeable
- Peel speed — a tenfold difference in rate is not a rounding difference
- Dwell time — how long the tape sat on the panel before peeling
- Temperature and humidity — climate at the time of test

Speed is the one most often left out
Of the five, peel speed is the condition most commonly missing from published datasheets, and it is the one that moves the number most. Pulling slowly and pulling quickly against the same adhesive do not produce the same reading.
We publish ours as 300 mm/min. When you compare our figures against another supplier's, check their speed first. If it is not stated, the two sets of numbers are not directly comparable, no matter how similar they look.
What we publish, in full
Every peel figure on this site was measured under the conditions below, and they are printed on the official data sheets, not assembled for the website.
Values are measured under the stated conditions. They are typical results, not guaranteed values — anyone who presents peel adhesion as a guaranteed number is overstating what the test can tell you.
- Substrate: SUS304 stainless steel
- Peel angle: 180°
- Peel speed: 300 mm/min
- Climate: 23 ± 2 °C, 55 ± 20 % RH
- Standard: GB/T 2792-2014
- Tensile: GB/T 1040.1-2006 / GB/T 1040.3-2006
- Thickness: GB/T 7125-1999
- Shelf life: 6 months at 23 ± 2 °C, 55 ± 20 % RH, out of direct sunlight

What we have not measured yet
Peel adhesion after heat ageing (60 °C / 72 h) is under test and not published. Residue rating, silicone transfer and surface resistivity of antistatic grades are also not published yet.
We would rather leave a gap on the datasheet than fill it with an estimate. If a figure matters to your process and we do not have it, say so and we will put it in the queue at the lab.
Questions we get asked
Why does peel speed matter so much?
Pressure-sensitive adhesives respond to the rate at which they are pulled. The same tape measured at different speeds gives different readings, so a peel figure quoted without its speed cannot be compared against one measured at a known speed.
What peel speed does Siho use?
300 mm/min, at 180° from SUS304 stainless steel, at 23 ± 2 °C and 55 ± 20 % RH, to GB/T 2792-2014. The same conditions apply to every peel figure published on this site.
Are the published peel values guaranteed?
No. They are typical values measured under the stated conditions, as printed on the official data sheets. Peel adhesion is a measurement, not a guaranteed constant, and we do not present it as one.
Can you test on my substrate instead of steel?
Tell me the substrate and I will take it to the factory to see what can be measured. The manufacturing partner's lab covers peel adhesion, heat resistance, holding power and weathering.
Do you publish peel adhesion after ageing?
Not yet. Ageing at 60 °C for 72 hours is under test. We publish figures once measured, not before.
Send us the datasheet you are comparing against
If you are weighing our grades against another supplier's, send their TDS. We will tell you which figures are directly comparable and which are not, including where ours are the weaker of the two.
- The competing datasheet, or just its peel figure and stated conditions
- The substrate you are actually protecting
- Process temperature and dwell the film has to survive
- The peel range you need, and whether removal or retention is the risk
